25 April 1942

Dear Folks:

Happened in a drugstore so will send a card.  A pretty town in the hills.  Tell Katie my address.  Just sent a letter so not much to write about.  Going to Bend, Ore. Tomorrow.  Will write then.

Love,

Harold Moss Signature

Love to learn new history and found the Shasta Dam, conveyor belt story fascinating. Imagine if I lived in that part of the country, I would have learned this years ago. I love and thank you for the thorough coverage provided by you, Lori. You emulate what, I believe, is your father’s excellent ability to organize, communicate.

The card does tell an interesting story about the plant for the Shasta Dam! I was always amazed at how resourceful dad was at finding any paper he could find to write a letter on. Many letters were written on letterhead from Field Artillery, American Red Cross, USO, and National Lutheran Council stationary, to name a few. Their color remains as colorful and vibrant as they did 50 years ago. Little did he know that these would be as interesting as his letters.
